Lego star wars investments 2022

It is coming up to that time of the year again when we can have a sneaky look at the Lego Star Wars investments that will be leaving us at the end of the calendar year. With this comes great investment opportunities. Lego Star Wars is often a lucrative market with its popularity and collectability. Thanks to the great list of retiring star wars sets from Brick fanatics, I have made notes of what I feel will be the best Lego Star Wars investments to keep a look out for if they come at the right price.

What am I looking for in a Lego Star Wars investment?

As I said before Star wars is often a good investment due to its popularity and collectability. But not all investments are as good as others, there are a few things that I look out for to consider a Lego set a worthy investment. That being the popularity I tend to use amazon’s best-seller ranking, then look at the discount available to ensure I can get a good deal, looking at similar sets that have retired in the past that are a good indicator. Also reviewing keepa to see how the set has performed during its tenure on amazon. Lastly the retirement date, this is normally an educated guess but unless things change the sets that I am looking at today will be retired by end of the year.

Our hope with these investments is to double our money after all fees in the next 12 -24 months.

The micro fighters are a solid cheap investment

There are three sets that I believe will be great investment opportunities, all of which are on the lower end, and belive will turn around very quickly as well as having good opportunites for discounts.

lego 75295

75295 Millenium falcon microfighter
75321 The Razor Crest Microfighter
75298 AT-AT vs. Tauntaun Microfighters

All three of these are very popular sets particularly 75295 and 75321 so if only can invest in a few sets I would make it these two as opposed to the AT-AT microfighter

All of these have been offered at great discount and would consider any of these at a third off a great price. But you may be able to get even a bigger discount. The millennium falcon last year in store I managed to pick up at half price at £4.50 and I see no reason why this will not be a possibility again in supermarket shelves even closer to retirement. But would still snap up if we can get to £6 for the millennium falcon and the razer crest in stores.

Will also take a punt on the AT AT if can get at a nice discount.

We have shown before that microfighters are a good investment, making me even more confident in these as great opportunities to double your money.

Lego 75255 Yoda – great investment this is

This one I feel could be a longer hold has been on the market for some time, but the collectability of this particular set I think will be huge. Meaning the more scarce this set becomes in the aftermarket the higher the price will go. It has been out for three years now a set that has been out a long time in comparison to other Lego sets

A good discount here on this set is vital as always, RRP at £105 I would want to get it for under £70 which it has dipped under on amazon a couple of times, if it does again or can find out and about in stores then this is a great investment. With this then only needing to go to £200 to double your money after fees, very doable indeed.

Lego 75277 Boba fett helmet

This helmet is a very popular Item and has it all, popular, collectible and retiring. RRP at £55 if can get this for around £35 – £40 a great discount. I am very confident on this set doing well after it retires.

Been out for a couple of years and still selling well.

Also known that these helmets can do very well in the after market

Lego 75276 retired end of 2021 and is currently sitting at £120 + on amazon. Buying this at £40 would have comfortably doubled your money so hopefully we see the same with these helmets next year

Lego 75280

I also like the look of this set as a good investment, but this may be more hope than anything as I have picked up quite a few at £16 for this. A big ol discount for this set currently priced at £25. I would happily go in on this at £20 however.

Been out for a while and quite popular. I think again may find this set out in the wild on supermarket shelves at good discounts. But would want less than £20.

Keepa shows us that when out of stock this product has done well so is a good indicator will do well post retirement. Have a fair few marinading on the shelves at home at the moment and will hope to add more to the inventory in the next few months
