Buy these Lego speed champions sets as the best 2023 Lego investments

Lego speed champions are always a great investment as I have shown in my recent article, showing just how well Lego speed champions sets do after retirement.

There are many reasons for this, they are cheap and affordable, many of them priced at about 20 pounds, you can get them readily at a great discount. Popular with both adults and children, so have great playability. They are also very unique sets, making them perfect for collectors.

All of this adds up means that you can guarantee when they leave the market they will rise in price. I am always confident of getting a 100% return on investment from the speed champions sets.

What discount should you be looking for?

As I showed in a recent article, getting a 25% discount is a good enough price to see a great return on many of these sets. But even higher discounts of 40-50% are often available if you can snap up the supermarket clearance deals. Then you can comfortably get 50% off.

I have been able to get 50% off on many of these sets in the past, making it an even better return on investment.

Which Lego speed champion sets to invest in 2023?

There is quite a big list of Lego speed champions sets that are currently on the market. All of these are great sets and will make fantastic investments. But some of these will still be on the market until the end of 2024. So with that in mind, focusing on the Lego sets that are leaving the market the end of this year are great sets to buy.

The top four

First of all these four sets I am very convinced will retire end of this year. Have been on the market longer than others. All of these sets are hugely popular. I have a couple of the koenigsegg knocking around at home but certainly hoping to snap up more of the others when can buy at my 15 pound target price.

76910 Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR pro and Aston Martin Vantage GT3 – Release date March 22 – Expected retirement 2023

This set is a bit more expensive, but also think it will do very well on retirement, whether as well as the smaller single sets I am not sure. So I may aim for a slightly better discount on this set.

The cream of the crop film blockbuster car sets

These two sets that are on the retirement list for 2023 I think will do incredibly well, very very popular sets, have already been able to snap up quite a few of the sets

A slightly different them with these sets, as they are iconic cars from films, as with the 2 fast 2 furious Nissan skyline it seems to be the way they are going. Looking at the sales it seems this is only adding to its popularity.

A reminder however that the retirement list can and often does change. Although I am very confident about the Lego 007 Aston martin being a superb investment, my slight reservation for this year is that it could be extended into next year. Plus I already have quite a few of these.
